J. A. Pell & Son created this pair of Bespoke Ledge & Brace Side Gates, in Essex. The existing posts were in sound condition being hardwood, so they were prepped and painted to maintain their current condition.
Our team constructed the gates using durable redwood timber to match the existing opening. A new pressure treated 7×2″ header was added to stop further in-winding of the existing posts and add strength.
We opted for a Sadolin Solvent Based paint system. This paint system consisted of Sadolin Classic primer, followed by two top coats of Sadolin Extra. Used together, they create a superior system (1 coat Classic + 2 coats Extra) offering up to 4-5 years of protection to a satin finish.
