Here we have an amazing garden room refurbishment for a lovely new client in Wanstead East London! The existing structure was deemed to be of excellent quality and condition, however it did have some issues in several areas where water ingress was a problem, due to poor finish work. The client really wanted to give it a modern and natural look with a serious facelift in mind. With a great vision given to us by the client on what they wanted, a plan and design was formed which gave these stunning results!
To achieve this look, structural changes were made ready to receive the beautiful dark grey windows and doors. Tyvek Supro Breather protective membrane and tantalised battens were installed to all exterior elevations, ready to receive the tantalised natural look softwood cladding. The rear elevation was finished in treated feather edge to keep costs down as it’s not in view.
The roof was in really good condition overall, however the roof line needed extending and a welted felt drip installed, to stop the previous issues with water ingress. The roofline was then finished off with half round black guttering and downpipes, to get the water away from the structure.
We really enjoyed this project and the results are amazing! We hope to be back in the near future to finish the exterior off with a decking area leading on from the double doors. And also make a start on the internal works. More to come, so keep an eye out from the latest updates!
As always, a big thanks to all our partner trades and suppliers.
