J. A. Pell & Son recently had the pleasure to prepare and fit this lovely exterior hardwood door and frame with rebated stop that the client supplied.
The frame was made up on the bench in which the door was swung and locked off due to the rebated door stop. Complete with high quality 4 inch stainless steel roller hinges, 5 lever mortice lock and top and bottom concealed key operated door bolts for extra security.
It was then taken to site where the existing door and frame were removed. This was then shoe horned into place, glazed and weather strips installed. We then made good where needed to the interior and exterior, finished off with a silicone bead to keep things water tight. Leaving the client to give it a few coats or his desired stain or oil.
We do love these sort of jobs, they don’t come up that often. Now days people prefer UPVC or composite doors over timber or hardwood door. A really happy client and a lovely little project which we enjoyed.
