The client purchased the property around 8 years ago with this existing decking area already established before then. Slightly poor build quality and general wear and tear, caused the decking area around the planter area to fail over time. With all the other parts of the decking area all ok, we set out removing any existing damaged decking and planter complete due to rotten support timbers etc.
With a clear working area we ensured the rest of the decking got new joists where needed to retain structural support. New 100x100mm pressure treated posts were install ready to receive bolted treated timber plates and joist to disperse the weight of the decking and bespoke planter.
Once a suitable decking area was complete, we started work on a similar but far better quality large bespoke planter to the client’s specification. The garden decking area is now ready for entertaining in the summer evenings for many years to come!
