A bathroom refurbishment on a tight budget recently carried by J. A Pell & Son from start to finish in Ongar, Essex.
The bathroom was completely removed along with all the existing wall coverings and damaged plaster. A dehumidifier was setup for several days to help dry out the room from the dampness. As the bathroom is a single skin brick construction extension, the walls were treated with a bitumen paint, battened, insulated, a vapour barrier installed and then boarded. This should help prevent dampness in the future.
The bathroom was completed with good quality budget sanitary products, giving the client a great looking bathroom on a tight budget.
